MAD PEARS is an angry fruit-- er, sorry, Vancouver-based artist and writer specializing in all things goofy, crazy and obscure!

Born and raised in Vancouver, Pears has known what she likes from a young age: cartoons, comics, movies and toys! She’s been making all of these things since she was a kid, and doesn’t plan on stopping!

 

With professional experience working as a storyboard assistant, Pears has also done commission work on album covers, concert posters, character designs and portraits.

 

Pears graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2026 with a fancy-shmancy 2D Animation degree, and she isn’t afraid to use it! Her graduate film, the 8-minute degenerate masterpiece FUNemployed, was entirely directed, written, storyboarded, animated by her!
